Not only is passive trade quite weak by comparison, but the Pirates aren't active traders and are much more tedious to fight, so I typically don't have them active in my games. I paid them to leave me alone, and they paid me way more shopping at my harbor.īut that had never quite been the case with Anno 1800. The Corsairs were a nuisance to my competitors, but a valuable client to me. In Anno 1404 it was massively profitable to make certain goods for the purpose of selling them to roving trade ships, up to and including the Corsairs. ![]() Quick context: I sunk a ton of time in to Anno 1404, it was a great game. This time I decided I would try to settle one of my pet peeves with the game, which is that selling goods for money didn't feel worth it. I'm always trying to do a new odd playthrough.
